Average price of a bond, in % of face value

The current yield indicates the ratio of the accrued coupon to the current market price of the bond. It can be used in cases where attachments are considered for a short period of time. In this situation, the change in the market price can sometimes be neglected.

Bond duration is a way of measuring how much bond prices are likely to change if and when interest rates move.

Effective yield to maturity. It considers both coupon income and profit/loss due to the difference between the purchase price and the repayment price. Effective yield shows the investor the return on invested funds with reinvested coupons and depreciation.

Listing level — stock exchange assessment of securities reliability.

The ratio of the annual coupon to the "dirty" price of the bond, including the accrued interest. This type of yield can be used in the case of short-term investments, when the investment horizon is within one coupon period.

The aim is for the investment to reflect the performance of the IBOXX $ TREASURIES { {®}} index (Index). The Index reflects the performance of tradable debt (bonds) denominated in US Dollars issued by the US government. The composition of the Index is rebalanced according to a pre-set methodology. For bonds to be included in the Index they must have a minimum maturity of 18 months when they are issued, and, on the relevant rebalancing date, have a remaining time to maturity of at least one year. The bonds must have at least $1 billion outstanding. The Index is calculated on a total return basis, which means that amounts equivalent to interest payments on the bonds are reinvested in the Index. To achieve the aim, the Fund will attempt to replicate the Index by buying a substantial number of the bonds in the Index in the same proportion as the Index as determined by the Sub-Portfolio Manager of the Fund which is Deutsche Asset Management (UK) Limited.
